Tax and Spend

Submitted by Dan Morris on August 28, 2010

The Town Hall Alliance is the greatest threat to the run of the mill tax and spend politicians. We fully intend on holding the line on taxes and adopt the constant yield. This will be done by cutting the waste out of our local government. The old way of doing business just will not work any longer. Larry Jarboe is the only sitting Commissioner that has attempted to hold the line on tax increases. I will not claim that it will be easy. The county is over $100 million in debt, and should not borrow any more money to balance the books. We must stop wasting your tax dollars now.

Time after time, St. Mary's Commissioner Kenny Dement (R. Piney Point, Wildewood) has told the public he did not raise taxes, but the record is clear that Dement, Commissioners Jackie Russell (D. St. George Island), Dan Raley (D. Great Mills) and Tommy Mattingly (D.

Submitted by Rich Johnson on August 6, 2010

This morning I was glad to host the Bay Montessori School in a visit to see my wind turbine.  It was science week and the school decided to see how wind technology works in Saint Mary’s County.  Who knows, this visit from the schools may become a repeating event.
