This is a joint meeting of the St. Mary's County delegation  to the Maryland General Assembly and the St. Mary's Board of Commisioners to review proposed legislation which has been suggested by the Board and members of the public. Legislators can submit new bills at any time and generally do not present such proposals at this hearing.  Bills proposed by the public and the Board are simply suggestions and must win approval of the legislators.
