Leonardtown Library can and should remain in Town

Moving the Leonardtown Library beyond the Governmental Center positions more infrastructure and potential business away from Leonardtown.
A decade ago, Senator Dyson and I fought hard on a bi-partisan basis to keep the Circuit Courthouse function in Leonardtown. The result was a vibrant downtown. Why should the County Commissioners encourage moving business away from the downtown area?
A high tech computer lab behind the existing library might be a reasonable option if the Town Council cannot find an affordable alternative in the downtown disrict.
Taking the library outside of the town limits is just bad business.
Thank you for joining us at the Town Hall Alliance and your views are welcome,
Your Commissioner,
Larry Jarboe
