Town Hall Alliance

We attended the Golden Beach parade on Saturday. I took my grandsons so that they could see a part of what makes this country great.  The parade was well organized and well attended. The float we entered had a theme of "Hold the line on taxes".  I talked to dozens of folks about the tax situation in this county and everyone of them agreed that taxes are out of line and corrections need to be made.  The issue of quality of life in St. Marys county came up and I had to agree that Golden Beach has a good quality of life. Growth will come, but the back room deals often do not protect this quality of life . Sometimes money is not everything. We need to protect our county and we need to take our time and put a lot of thought and planning into any development changes that might reduce this quality of life.  I miss my old friend Walter Dorsey and his wisdom of this county.  He said more than once that this is a good place to live and to raise a family and I had to agree with him.  He was one of the original members of the Town Hall Alliance.
