Its no gamble with Guy!

Tommy "Hambone" McKay used a biography in his 2002 County Commissioner campaign, on his official biography on the government website and in his 2006 Senate campaign that included a statement that he had earned a degree in business administration. ST. MARY'S TODAY revealed in a news story in August of 2006 that the official records of the University of Maryland stated that McKay had not earned a degree. Afterwards, McKay told the Washington Post that the false claim was the fault of a county secretary. The truth is that McKay had claimed an education he had not earned in order to win votes. He lost the 2006 election to Sen. Roy Dyson by a margin of 2-1. On July 6th of this year, McKay filed to run for St. Mary's Commissioner President and his new wife recently stated that he has been too busy to get a degree.
Randy Guy is shown here in this ad with his Associate Degree, which he indeed did earn.
McKay has been crying that this ad is a "personal attack", when anyone can see that it simply is a statement of fact.
Character and truth are key elements of the candidacy of those running for office and voters have every right to access to all informaiton about a candidate in order to decide for whom to vote.
McKay arranged a secret, back room deal for the Hackerman Property that would have given a developer state forest land at cost and allow him a special waterfront development, all without purview of the General Assembly. McKay sent out a letter claiming that his son was innocent of counterfeiting twenty dollar bills that ended up in the hands of a drug dealer and in McKay's desk in county government offices. McKay's son was later convicted and is now the Associate Publisher of the McKay newspaper, showing that if he printed enough $20 bills on McKay's computer anything is possible.
