I would like to thank the members of the American Legion Post in Ridge Maryland for the tribute to our fallen warriors.

I returned from Viet Nam in 1970, a United States Marine, and remember the homecoming we received.

These ceremonies at the American Legion are indeed, very special to all of the veterans I spoke to around the county and to me. We appreciate your remembering our fellow soldiers who did not return from that war and all others fought to preserve America's freedoms. Thank you again.

Danny,  I too served during the Viet Nam time frame. I was never in country but do remember vividly the  terrible way our returning men and women were treated. Absolutely disgracefull.  Memorial Day is a fitting tribute to those that served in all our conflicts and should be observed with all the dignity that can be brought to bear.  I too attended the Ridge American Legion Post ceremony this past Memorial Day and was extremely pleased with the respect on display for the occasion. All participants honored those that gave the final measure. Very Fitting. All gave some; some gave all.

Semper Fi,

Lifer Squid
