I am glad to report that the County Commissioners voted to "not" allow Public Sewer and Water to be extended to the Mill Cove Community.  I applaud the folks who stood up to this out of control developement.   Guy Curley hopes to overturn this decision.  Stay Vigilant.

Yes.  We will stay vigilant.

I wonder what the next angle the developer will try to do just so to make a buck.  I am glad that for now this high density has been put on hold, but I would prefer that Mill Cove be taken out of the Lexington Park Development District so that this never come up again.

It is Guy Curley's job to "make a buck," and his employees and family depend on him to do his job. It is the job of our elected officials to effectively manage growth, and to set the policy and parameters Mr. Curley must adhere to in order to do his job.  It is our County Commissioners who have failed at their jobs by allowing the development community to infiltrate the system that creates the regulations and policy.  Guy Curley is simply working within the system the developers helped the BOCC create.

Yes, Guy is trying to make a buck, but the commissioners did have the option to take this area out of the Lexington Park Development District.  The large size of this Dev. District has been a bone of contention w/ the Md. Office of Planning for years.

Backdoor politics beyond my purview may have occurred, but I was the lone voice of support for downsizing the Lex. Park Dev. District by taking Mill Cove and Myrtle Point Park out of the LPDD in the Comp. Plan.  This action would have addressed the concerns of the vast majority of the neighbors.

Special interests vs. majority.  Taxpayers vs. tax takers.  The political divisions are becoming clear.

Larry Jarboe

Commissioner Jarboe,

There sure seems to be a lot of stuff going on in County government that you either don't know about or aren't responsible for!

If anything, Commissioner Jarboe has been the "only one" to vote against this re-zoning at Mill Cove.  He also voted against the last minute rezone of Hillville and Golden Beach.  And it does not take much to understand what the other Commissioners tried to do without the public having any say.  Did the other Commissioners get donations from the developers?  This is public knowledge and should not be hard to get and connect the dots.

In fact, my observation is that Jarboe is the "only one" to vote NO against everything.  Of course, at the direction of Mr. Rossignol.
