The time has come for folks like Elfreda Mathis and Tommy McKay to step up to the plate with their bags of cash from developers and the loons of the left wing to once again take their rightful places in charge of your government. 
But don't let them have control. 
They never have done very well with it, and in the case of Hambone McKay, the guy who awarded himself a college degree and covered up his son's counterfeiting of currency, he has now told his pals like Kenny Dement that he is going to run for commissioner president.
McKay is a phony conservative who will run a few platitudes up the flagpole and hope you are dumb enough to buy them. 
Elfreda Mathis is a nice lady but she is way out on the left wing of her party and the Democrats in general, whats left of them, are tilted so far in the socialist direction that people who once were considered moderate, like Steny Hoyer, have now gone off the deep end.
Moderate and conservative Democrats need to abandon that sinking ship and help Larry Jarboe's slate provide leadership for the rudderless local Republican Party. 
Not a single GOP leader has come to the front lines to support Jarboe as he has opposed tax hikes and urged spending limits.  Kenny Dement is a lost ball in high grass but he has purposefully voted to raise your taxes.  He should be soundly defeated.
The Town Hall Alliance has for the first time in the history of St. Mary's County, provided a written platform and published it to the world to see so they can be held accountable for their actions once taking office.
The clever and cute campaigns of whispering and winking with a lot of nodding and blinking run by such characters as Dan Raley, Tommy Mattingly, Kenny Dement, Tommy "Hambone" McKay and their surrogates like 'good old boy in training' Brandon Hayden, and Bill Mattingly are the type of old county politics that need to be left in the last century.
Those old county residents that have seen their taxes skyrocket as a result of dimwits like Jackie Russell and Kenny Dement voting with Raley and Mattingly to raise taxes, can join with independents, Democrats and Republicans to help throw the bums out and put in common sense and down to earth conservatives.
Krazy Kenny and the Taxocrats have put the screws to their own friends, family and neighbors with high taxes and crooked land deals like the fishy Hayden Farm purchase.  All those folks pay taxes just like the new people.
Larry Jarboe has worked hard to assemble a team and in spite of the bull spouted by Dan Raley who last week talked about a training session for the new board to be elected this year, Jarboe has already been putting his team to work in listening sessions with Leonardtown Mayor Chip Norris and School Superintentdent Dr. Mike Martirano and Dr. Sal Raspa. 
The Town Hall Slate has been visiting citizen and community groups, not meeting in backrooms with cash and carry developers. 
The Jarboe ticket doesn't have a lot of money from the big daddy warbucks like Sonny Burch and Bubby Knott and they listen to folks like the residents of Oakville who were furious to find out that a deal had been cut in the back room to rezone 600 acres of land to industrial, right in their backyards.
