Why don't Mattingly and Russell tell the truth about the $3 billion budget deficit?

St. Mary's Commissioner candidate Dan Morris, running county wide for the district of Hollywood and Leonardtown, testifies to the joint legislative /commissioner public hearing against any expansion of the authority of the county to borrow more money.
Delegates Tony O'Donnell and John Wood asserted that the State budget deficit is $3 billion dollars and O'Donnell laughs as Del. John Bohanan proclaims the deficit to merely be $2 billion.
I believe that it is very important the voters understand that the Town Hall Alliance is a group of people who feel taxes are high enough, government should be open and not behind closed doors and finally that common sense should be applied.
THAT IS IT...Members of the T.H.A. are individuals..we do not all agree on every other
issue...except maybe that Christmas eve public hearings for sneaky land deals are out of line.
I am not against a library, I am against wasting taxpayers dollars and I am against the manner in which Tom Mattingly and Jack Russell are going about this library.
Why doesn't Tom and Jack tell the taxpayers that the State of Maryland is THREE BILLION DOLLARS in the hole as they push for this 13 million dollar library that we don't need.
I do not have anything negative to say about the Hayden family. I know a lot of Haydens, all good people.
I have a serious problem with the present County Commissioners who paid FIVE MILLION DOLLARS for a farm that was not worth THREE MILLION DOLLARS. I would like to know who came up with that price tag?
I have a serious problem with making plans for that farm until the African American community in St. Marys County has a chance to find out how many of their ancestors are buried in slave graves on that farm without markers. It is a disgrace to treat our friends, neighbors and fellow citizens in such a way.

The plan of these current "Tax and Spend" Commissioners, with the exception of Commissioner Jarboe, is to create so much extra debt to the County such that the next group of Commissioners will have to raise taxes just to pay for this debt. Then these Good Old Boys will say, "Look, these new Commissioners raised your Taxes" , so they are no good. That is why it is so important now to stop this excessive spending. Of course the Taxpayer will be the one who has to pay for this mess. I plan to vote for the Jarboe Slate. I have my own bills to pay, and not for the excessive debt these nut jobs are creating.
